Children in families impacted by addiction often live in secrecy about what's happening. This group is designed to help them combat related embarrassment or shame, and realize it's not their fault. Learning how to create a support system and to practice self-care are essential. In addition, they will learn how to let go of things they can't control and cope with what they face.
Relating & Re-Engaging:
Coming Out of Social Isolation
After the pandemic, many youth have found a "comfort zone" in an isolated place. This group is designed to help youth build the lost relationship skills and to re-engage socially with others, as well as to overcome fear or anxiety associated with taking such steps. Connecting with others who share similar feelings will help them realize they are not alone in this journey.
In Pieces to Peace: for Youth Experiencing Family Change
Youth experiencing a significant family change such as divorce often benefit from connecting with others who understand what they are going through. This group is designed to help the participants cope with the potential stressors and wide range of emotions generated by the change in their world. In addition, they will learn important communication skills and self-care as they adjust to a "new normal"
